Large open-concept kitchen and living area with solar shades half lowered over tall windows

Lutron motorized shades

Daylight, just the way you like it

Shades that lower quietly when the sun gets too strong, give you privacy in the evening and wake you gently in the morning.

Windows make a home beautiful. Shades make it livable.

Large windows mean light and views. They also mean glare on the TV in the afternoon, heat building up in summer and the feeling of being on display at night. Well-chosen motorized shades take care of all that effortlessly: they move together, quietly, and line up perfectly from one window to the next.

At Adom, we install Lutron motorized shades, blinds and drapery only. Lutron shades are made entirely by Lutron, from motor to fabric, and they work with your lighting control for complete light management.

A shade for every moment of the day

Solar shades, by day

They cut glare and some of the heat while keeping the view. They also protect your floors and furniture from UV rays.

Blackout shades, by night

They block light passing through the fabric for better sleep. With certain accessories, a fully dark bedroom is possible.

Privacy shades

For the bathroom, the closet or anywhere you'd rather not be seen, while still letting light in.

Motorized drapery

For softness, acoustics and wide or corner windows. Drapery is to a living room what a jacket is to a suit.

Day, night, and everything in between

The most beautiful solution often pairs two shades in the same window: a solar shade for the day and a blackout shade for the night. Add drapery in the living room or bedroom and you have a window that adapts to every moment.

In the morning, blackout shades can rise slowly so you wake up to natural light instead of an alarm. At sunset, privacy shades lower on their own. In the afternoon, a sensor can bring the solar shades down when the sun gets too strong.

Shades that disappear into the design

Lutron shades come in hundreds of fabrics and finishes. They can be recessed into the ceiling so only the fabric shows, or mounted in a discreet fascia. We can even match the color to the window frames for a flawless finish.

Motorized drapery leaves more freedom: you choose the fabric you love, with your designer, and we handle the Lutron motorization and installation. Center opening, side opening or double drapery for privacy and blackout: it's all possible.

Planned early, controlled with one touch

Shades are best planned early, in new builds and renovations alike. Power needs to be in place and, for recessed shades, ceiling pockets have to be built in. We work with your builder, your electrician and your designer so everything is ready at the right time.

Once installed, your shades are controlled from the same keypad as your lights, from a small Pico remote, from your phone or on a schedule. They can also join the rest of the house so you have everything in one app, with Crestron or Control4.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a solar shade and a blackout shade?

A solar shade filters light and keeps the view: it reduces glare and heat during the day. A blackout shade blocks light passing through the fabric: it's the one you want in a bedroom at night.

Why only Lutron?

Because Lutron shades are quiet, reliable, made entirely by Lutron and work naturally with Lutron lighting. We'd rather master one product perfectly than offer several halfway.

Can shades be motorized in an existing home?

Yes. Lutron offers battery-powered and wired options. We look at your windows with you to choose the best solution.

Can shades move on their own?

Yes. We can set schedules, follow sunrise and sunset, or use a light sensor. You always keep one-touch control.
