For the trade: designers, architects, builders
Light is part of your design
We work with designers, architects and builders so that light, shades and music serve their project, without adding anything visible.
Why bring Adom in early
A room can have the finest materials in the world, but if the light is poorly planned, nobody sees them. A harsh ceiling fixture flattens everything, a row of six switches spoils a perfect wall, a shade added as an afterthought leaves a visible headbox. Most of these problems are easy to solve... at the plan stage.
That's why we like to arrive early. At that point we can plan keypad locations with you, recessed shade pockets in the ceiling, power in the right place and wiring before the walls close. The result is a project that looks exactly the way you drew it, and a client who lives in a home where everything is simple.
A team that handles the specialized work
Adom is licensed and has electricians on staff. We take care of finishing the lighting and control panels ourselves (trimming out the dimming panels) along with all the specialized work that site electricians see less often. The project electrician does what they do best, and we take over where it gets technical.
Our project managers coordinate with everyone on site: builder, electrician, designer, architect. You get one point of contact for lighting, motorized shades, audio, home theater and the network.
What we offer the trade
A lighting and control plan
We turn your intentions into moods, keypads and circuits, right from the plans.
Matching finishes
Not just the keypads: shade pockets, speaker grilles and recessed fixtures all match your finishes, with samples for your material boards.
Technical support
Wiring plans for the electrician, shade power and pockets, and panel trim-out by our own electricians.
Respect for the schedule
We follow the construction schedule, show up at the right time, and stay involved after handover.
Designers, architects and builders
Interior designers
Keypads that match your finishes, shades that dress the window, light that shows off your choices. See the Designers page.
Architects
Daylight and electric light planned together, shades built into the architecture, no visible technology. See the Architects page.
Builders
One point of contact, pre-wiring at the right time, fewer callbacks and delighted clients at handover. See the Builders page.

Learning together
How light changes the way a room feels, why a solar shade and a blackout shade play different roles, where to put a keypad so it disappears: we enjoy sharing what we've learned on job sites.
We offer short presentations at your office, over lunch or a coffee break, with samples you can touch. We can also walk you through a finished project so you can see and hear the result. Have a look at our projects.
Frequently asked questions
When should we contact you?
Ideally at the plan stage, before the electrical bid. The earlier we're involved, the simpler it is and the less rework there is.
Do you replace the site electrician?
No. We work alongside them. Our electricians handle the specialized part, such as finishing the lighting and control panels, and our project managers coordinate with them.
Can you provide keypad samples?
Yes. We can show you Palladiom and Alisse finishes so they match your materials.
Do you work outside the Montreal area?
Yes: Montreal, the South Shore, the Eastern Townships and South Florida, from Miami to Palm Beach.
