Ketra is a lighting technology from Lutron. Its fixtures don't just get brighter or dimmer: they change color through the day, like natural light. Warm and soft in the morning and evening, bright and clear during the day.

You feel the result more than you see it. The kitchen is bright at breakfast, the living room turns cozy at dinnertime, and the bedroom softens before bed. Nobody has to think about it: the lighting follows the day on its own.

Vibrancy: art at its best

Ordinary lighting has two controls: intensity and color temperature, from warm to cool white. Ketra adds a third that no other system offers: Vibrancy.

White light is a blend of colors. Vibrancy changes the recipe of that blend without changing the white itself: the room stays at 3000K, but the colors of what it lights change. At a low setting, hues are soft and muted. Turn it up and reds, blues and greens grow richer and deeper, and hidden nuances in a painting appear.

For a collection, it's museum-quality lighting: each piece can have its own setting. Vibrancy also brings out fabrics, wood and flowers. It comes with Ketra fixtures (Rania, which makes its white differently, doesn't offer it).

Frequently asked questions

How is Ketra different from regular LED lighting?

Regular LED lighting always keeps the same color: you can only make it brighter or dimmer. Ketra also changes color through the day, like natural light, and dims down to 0.1% with no flicker.

Does Ketra work with Lutron?

Yes, Ketra is a Lutron technology. It's controlled with the same keypads, the same app and the same scenes as your Lutron lighting and shades.

Do I need Ketra throughout the house?

No. We mostly recommend it in living spaces. Elsewhere, standard Lutron lighting works very well, and everything stays in the same system.

Do I have to pick the color myself?

Not at all. Ketra follows natural light automatically. You can still choose another scene with one touch, then return to natural mode.
