Privacy policy
We collect as little information as possible, only to answer your requests, serve you in the Adom app and improve our website. Here's what we do with it, in plain language.
Who we are
The adom-smarthome.com website and the Adom app are operated by Adom Smart Home, with offices at 275 Avenue Liberté, Candiac, Quebec J5R 3X8, Canada, and in Pompano Beach, Florida. In this policy, “Adom,” “we” and “us” refer to Adom Smart Home.
The information we collect
When you fill out the contact form: your name, phone number, email, city, project type and message. We use this information only to reply to you, prepare a quote and follow up on your project.
When you email or call us: the information you choose to share with us, for the same purposes.
When you visit the website: technical browsing data, such as the pages you view, how long you stay, your device type and your approximate region. This data is analyzed in aggregate and isn't used to identify you.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and Google Analytics, a Google service, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. These tools may store cookies in your browser.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on provided by Google. The site will keep working.
Some pages may display content from other websites, such as videos. That content behaves as if you had visited those websites, which may use their own cookies.
The Adom app
The Adom app (iPhone, iPad and Mac, and at app.adom.io) is used by our clients, our partners (designers, architects, builders) and our team. Accounts are created by Adom: you can't sign up on your own.
If you're a client: your name, contact information, the address of your homes, the systems installed and their warranties, the passwords of your systems (stored encrypted, in a vault), your requests and messages to our team, the photos and reports of our visits, and the guests you give access to. We use this information to give you access to your home in the app and to provide after-sales service.
If you're a partner: your name, contact information, your clients and the measurements you take, to prepare your quotes and orders.
If you're on the Adom team: the information needed for your work (work orders, hours, photos, notes). If you turn it on, your location is used only during the work day and while you travel for work, to note arrivals at and departures from the office and job sites, suggest your hours and show your trip to dispatch. Only the last location is kept, never a route, and nothing after the end of the day. The names of clients and team contacts shown when they call are stored on your phone only.
What the app uses on your device
- Face ID or Touch ID: to sign you in. Recognition happens on the device; Adom never receives your biometric data.
- Microphone: to dictate and to talk to Claude, the app's assistant. Your voice is turned into text, and only the text is kept.
- Camera and photos: for photos of visits, requests and documents, and to scan barcodes.
- LiDAR and Bluetooth: to measure windows, with the device or a Bosch laser.
- Notifications: to let you know about a reply, a visit or a task.
The app shows no ads and doesn't track you across other apps or websites.
Our service providers and where your information goes
The app's data is hosted in Canada (Supabase). Some providers that help us run the app may process part of the information outside Quebec, including in the United States, only as far as needed: Vercel (app hosting), Anthropic (Claude, the assistant), Deepgram, Google and Microsoft (voice and transcription), Google (maps, addresses and email), Twilio (text messages), Apple (notifications) and Intuit QuickBooks (invoicing). We choose providers that adequately protect information, and we don't allow them to use it for their own purposes.
Deleting your account
In the app, Account → Delete My Account removes your access right away, on all your devices, and asks our team to erase your information, except what the law requires us to keep (invoices, warranties). You can also email info@adom-smarthome.com.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- We don't add you to any mailing list without your consent.
- We only share your information with the service providers that help us run the website and reply to you (hosting, email, analytics), as far as needed, or when required by law.
Retention and security
We keep your information as long as needed to answer your request, complete your project and provide after-sales support, or longer if the law requires it. We take reasonable measures to protect it against loss, unauthorized access and misuse.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, including in Quebec, you may:
- ask to see the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete it, except for what we must keep for administrative or legal reasons;
- withdraw your consent to its use.
To exercise these rights or ask a question about this policy, email us at info@adom-smarthome.com or write to our Candiac office. We'll respond within the time required by law.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or the law. The current version is always the one posted on this page.
Last updated: November 2026.
