The Domain

On the shores of Lake Memphremagog in Magog, this multi-acre estate had just been acquired by one of our longtime clients. It includes a grand main house whose architecture evokes European castles, two fully equipped guesthouses, and a large garage built for a car collection, now converted into a modern gym with a loft.

The main house already had motorized shades, lighting control and multi-room audio, but much of the equipment was more than 15 years old. A complete upgrade was needed for the property to deliver the experience it promised.

For lighting, we installed Lutron's QSX system and replaced every keypad with Palladiom models in a glass finish. Quiet and refined, they suit the spirit of the house. In the lounge, the dining area and throughout the home, the lighting now adjusts with a single touch, and Control4 touchscreens bring everything together in one place. See how we approach lighting control.

We also replaced nearly every television with a Samsung The Frame, which blends into the decor by displaying works of art. Some are paired with a Sonos Arc soundbar.

For music, we added several new indoor zones and installed a Sonance Landscape speaker system outdoors. Music now follows you along the entire waterfront, from late afternoon to sunset. Learn more about multi-room audio.

Finally, we rebuilt the network from the ground up. Fiber optic now runs from the main house to the three other residences and the two entry gates. Our client enjoys solid coverage across the whole estate and better control over access points, for connectivity that is both seamless and more secure. More on our home Wi-Fi networks.

The result is an estate that keeps all of its heritage character, while the technology quietly steps aside. Thank you to our client for their continued trust.
